Lor Mee is a food Singaporeans recognise by sight and by taste. A humble lor Mee stall founded in the 1970s by Mr Lim Chong Teck's Father in the Kallang Estate, Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee has come a long way since its inception.
Old Airport Road
Mr Lim's Father along with other street hawkers around Kallang Estate was resettled.
The food centre was actually located on an old airport’s runway and thus the name Old Airport Road Food Centre.
